Gifted Local Endorsement for Educators (GLEE).pdf- FLYER
Course Overview
The GLEE course is an 8 month (Sept.-April) course. Tasks are assigned each month to complete via Google Classroom. Participants check-in with AIG Coordinator or site-based specialist at the end of each month. Two face-to-face meetings are required, the first meeting is to “kick off” the course, and the second meeting is to conclude the course and turn in final products. Educators will be required to complete the course tasks in a notebook that will be turned in. Upon completion, educators will receive a certificate, are added to a list on the AIG Webpage of CCS Endorsed Educators, and receive 3.0 CEU’s.

Gifted Education Pathways for Educators
NC currently has three gifted education pathways. Higher Education Institution, Praxis, and local coursework.
The higher education institution pathway requires admission to a higher education institute. Upon completion, individuals leave with a NC gifted education license.
NC recently added the Gifted Education Praxis. A passing score on the Gifted Education Praxis will allow participants to earn NC gifted education licensure.
The third pathway is local coursework. This pathway is completed over one school year. Upon completion, participants will receive a local gifted education endorsement. This endorsement is not to be confused with NC gifted education licensure and is only recognized within Clinton City Schools. The local coursework is intentionally designed to prepare participants for the NC Gifted Education Praxis.
